It was snowing like crazy today on my walk to school.
Little did I know that the campus was closed but that didn't trouble my mind as much as the accident that happened on my way home. Some brave but naive truck driver decided to battle the weather and his decision has seemed to change my life completely.
Before the impact I remember walking and being angry before being blindsided by the truck which jack-knifed into my path- well, so the paramedics told me.
They asked me hundreds and hundreds of times if I felt any pain, but I did not. Surprising to us both as a piece of metal was sticking out of my thigh and I was still responsive. At the hospital they removed the foreign object from my body and were dumb-founded when my they watched my skin heal over instantly.
They wanted to inform the press but I begged them not to have them involved. I just wanted to go home.
There was major spillage from the truck that eventually tipped over. I remember smelling something quite foul when I came to.
I guess the driver fled the scene and the police have not yet been able to locate his where abouts.
The substance is also unknown but something is quite different. I wasn't disfigured but something is different internally. I feel invincible- like a shark in the ocean.
So far the doctors have kept their word and I have not been contacted by anyone but I'm feeling very paranoid. I turned on the TV and the accident is all over the local news but they only refer to me as a by-stander who received treatment from the hospital.
My heightened intuition tells me everything is going to be different now.
